The small Water Veil series is about color, pattern and form. These come in vessel forms, but not your ordinary vessel forms. These pieces start by stacking to colors on top of each other, dipping it in clear twice, then in a color overlay cup. This layer of color is cut up with scissors and when melted back in, forms an abstract pattern. After the pattern is formed, two more layers of clear are added and the piece is ready for final shaping. Wet newspaper is used for the final shaping which allows the artist to make very organic and untraditional forms.
