The pieces in the smaller Gestural series were designed for someone who enjoys the colors and forms of a sculpture while needing a more economical use of space and funds. These pieces use crushed up glass, called frit, along with a twisting technique to create color patterns and grace. They incorporate two layers of frit using three colors, twisted about, within four layers of clear. Each piece in the Gestural series also has two cavities, one on each side of the piece, which act as negative space allowing light to dance and reflect the colors throughout the sculpture.
